Hi all,
I have not posted in quite some time but am pondering a purchase and something crossed my mind... and I wanted to get some insight/opinions/confirmations because I seem to be unsure what I remember.
LSS,
I have a Glock 23 Gen 3 that is both my "main gun" and for the last month or two, my EDC/CCW. I had bought an M&P Shield 9mm when I moved to FL and got my CCW, and I absolutely loved it, but I sold it a few months back for a reason you guys would all laugh at me for so I'll keep it to myself lol, and now am about to buy a new EDC. I absolutely love my G23, love it to death, but I am a smaller guy at 5'8" and 140lbs when I've had a very gluttonous month, and the G23 is just not as comfortable to carry all day every day as the Shield, not a fair comparison really.
I am seriously considering a G27 Gen 4... have wanted one for a while, came close to buying one as my EDC, but it was over $150+ more than the Shield at the time, and the Shield was universally loved and praised, and I knew I'd want and need a few extra mags, a holster , night sights + installation, etc. and went with the Shield. I am also considering a few other guns across a few different spectrums- here is my question finally:
Will my Lone Wolf Dist. LWD 40-9 Conversion Barrel for my Glock 23 (Gen 3, as it happens, although I do not think the Gen matters?) fit and work in the Glock 27 (Gen 4)? IE, can I use my same Conv. barrel in a new purchased G27 to shoot 9mm cheap for fun and practice etc?
I am pretty sure you can, I am nearly certain nearly 6 years back when I bought it, people were saying how it'd be one of the pluses and extra reasons to get it, if I get a G27 in the future I can use the same barrel. I thought people all said it would drop right in and work perfectly (albeit it would be an "extended barrel" and the extra length would stick out from the breech of the gun)
However, I don't want to use it as a "Plus" Consideration for buying it if it's not actually going to work, and I sure as sugar don't want to kaboom the gun or blow myself up finding out it wasn't supposed to be done.
Any insight here? Thanks very much and Happy New Year, have fun & stay safe.
