G23 hangs up 1/4" out of battery

My Glock 23 sometimes (2 or 3 rounds in a row every 20-30 rounds) hangs up about a quarter-inch out of battery. It goes into battery when I reset the trigger. Once (just once), the trigger stayed back - it failed to reset at all. A tap-rack-flip fixed it that time.

If you handle Glocks, you know that at about that same point in the slide's movement, the striker contacts the trigger bar, and its spring actually acts counter to the recoil spring (it "tries" to keep the slide open), and you can definitely feel it if you move the slide by hand, and it's normal. However, I could swear I'm feeling something else there - something hanging up. Full/empty/no magazine makes no difference.

I've had 3 certified Glock armorers look at it, and they were all stumped. One of them admitted his own 23 does the same thing, and he could never figure it out. Any thoughts?
