Has anybody tried the new G-Series sight that Crimson Trace has out for the GLOCK? Their web site shows it installs with a single pin and I was wondering how well it stayed in place. Any reveiws would be appreciated as I have never handled any of their products. Thanks.

Nobody? I have never tried a laser sight of any kind and I hesitate to drop $300 +/- without some input first. Looks like it fits tight from the ad, but of course it does. I was interested in useing it on a g-26. I had heard some people have trouble obstructing the beam with their finger and wondered how it works on such a small pistol. Thanks again.

Although I do not have a CT laser for your application, I do have one on my Kimber Ultra CDP II 1911. I can tell you that CT lasers are top notch with windage and elevation adjustments and the bullet goes where the red dot points. I have had no problems with mine and would recommend them to anyone. The first set had laser activation buttons on the sides of the grips. I found them difficult to activate. I sent them back to CT and they sent me a set with the activation button on the front of the grips. Easy activation with the middle finger when naturally gripping the gun. As far as your finger obstructing the beam, after a little practice you get use to moving your trigger finger down and out of the way. Hope this helps.

I recently put one on a G19.

It works pretty much as advertised. It was easy to install, and has not moved since.

I have had to slightly modify where I index my finger. It was obscuring the light - but it took only a very slight downward movement to uncover the light, and it has been easy to adapt.

You could also look at Lasermax...they make a unit that installs in the gun instead of on it....that would solve the grip problem....

I have handled a G-series CT and shot with it. I do not own one however, and have only fired a few rounds with it.

The one I shot, on a G19, was quite stable and very accurate. I love CT's fast and easy on/off, which is the best thing about them. I didn't much care for the way it made the grip fit my hands, but that's a very personal thing -- and truthfully, it wasn't that much of a change. To my way of thinking, there's not much point in getting a laser that has to be twiddled on & off; it just slows you down too much, and it's too difficult to have good light discipline. CT is head and shoulders above the competition in that department.

I'm not personally a fan of LaserMax lights. The on/off is too dang slow and too fumbly, and the flickering light which is allegedly easier to spot is just about impossible for me to find most of the time. Plus, personal thing, I just don't like replacing functional factory parts with non-factory ones.

If you like the basic pressure-switch interface and are willing to spend some money, you might also consider contacting the Law-17 laser people. This built-in feature is very similar to what CT was doing with Glocks a few years ago. I can testify to the quality of the installation because my most frequent shooting buddy got a Law-17 mod for his 10mm about 6 years ago now, and we've both been thrilled with the quality and durability of the product.

Thanks for the link. I haven't seen these before. I usually don't go for the trigger gaurd mounted types, but this one is hardly intrusive at all. It also looks like it might fit in my C-Tac! Thanks again.
