Bill Clinton threatened to shut down the government unless the Latino and Immigration
Fairness Act of 2000 was passed by congress. It didn't pass and he backed down. Sure,
some relatively minor concessions were made, but for the most part we stopped amnesty,
agricultural workers and a watering-down of our immigration laws.

Thanks to all who made those calls and sent those emails.

All the press accounts of this battle report that you made a difference.

This year you fought for America and we had great victories. Next year we are going to
fight even harder. We are going to demand that President George W. Bush enforce our
immigration laws with vigor so we can put the illegal immigration problem behind us once
and for all

Sorry, but immigration is as impossible to stop as drugs. A better solution is to eliminate all of the handouts, for citizens and immigrants. Then, those who want to be productive are welcome, those who don't can starve.
 
Immigration can be stopped however at present neither
our gov. nor mexico wants to stop it.
It is very important for our country and freedom that
only "legal" immigration is allowed, otherwise our
society will fragment,at present time Calif. is gone
and many states will follow.
Question is, how many people can you take care of in
your home 10, 20, 30, at what point is your way of
life gone,freedom lost.?? Selfish, perhaps but then
it may become a matter of survival.
