Fusion Firearms?

I've not used their mainspring housing, but I've had success with other small parts. As opposed to Wilson parts being forged, Fusion stuff appears to be billet machined. I'd imagine the mainspring housing to drop right in, but, as anyone who's put together a 1911 before knows, there are no guarantees. Either way, I'd recommend.

Cannot say how they will fit to a Kimber, but I have their MSH on both my Springfields, and they dropped right in.

Well I wound up finding a couple of the Smith & Alexander mainspring housings for just a couple of bucks more. Knowing that they have a reputation for a good fit and finish match on Kimbers, I went the cautious route. Installed one today after work and have to say I'm pleased.
This Fusion Firearms site does have some very reasonable prices for what they offer, I'll keep them in mind for the next project perhaps.
Thanks for the input.

I have talked to Bob Serva and his son (maybe Adam? I'm sorry, I forget...my memory is as long as my grip screws) once each. Both seemed very willing to talk, take time and address my questions/concerns. I came away with a very positive opinion of both.

I have ordered from them several times on smaller parts (1911 slim grips, slim grip bushing/screw sets, etc.) and have had good luck so far. One set of grip panels looked different than pictured. When I received them I called and was treated very well. Sent them back and got another set that was perfectly satisfactory..

My experience only, worth exactly what you paid for it.

Best regards, Rich

I picked up a Wilson combat main spring housing for my Kimber fit was perfect. As for Fusion, Bob Serva (I believe that's how he spells it) Was the head of Dan Wesson prior to CZ. He now heads up Fusion, I also have one of the Fusion 10mm 1911's. In my opinion better than my Kimber. And a slight upgrade over my Dan Wesson. Not sure this helps but....

Good Luck

I would never buy anything from them just because of a couple friends that ordered 1911s and they couldn't seem to get anything right that was on the build sheet. Not only that but they have for years offered lower end parts, some made by STI, that weren't exactly accurate in the description.

This too is my understanding.
