"Fusion" Bullets Question

Does anyone know who makes them and what is your opinion of them as far as being accurate and performance on game. Thanks.

Federal makes them. I've shot two pigs with them (head shots so no real test of the bullet's capability). So far, I've gotten good accuracy. I see them as a semi-premium bullet at not much more than a base-model price.

A friend of mine is shooing them in a Ruger Target 25.06 and is getting great accuracy. He killed a couple does last year and the bullets did a bang up job.

I cannot comment on their performance on game... But in my father's Savage .223 sporter its the most accurate affordable load we've found for the gun... Five shot group sizes are around 5/8"-3/4" at 100 yards... For as inexpensive as the fusion load is + the pencil thin barrel on the rifle, this performance is excellent...

I have used these for the last 4 years before I started reloading, during that time I have taken about 10 deer and havent lost any that I hit in the vital area. through the rib cage they go in one end and out the other, in the shoulder they have good pennitrationa and expansion, and will shatter the shoulder joint. As far as accuracy, if your gun likes em (all guns are differnt) they are as accurate as the shooter, I can get 1 MOA or better at 100 yards. They are a boat tail design so they are more accurate at longer ranges, however for hunting where your target is probably a 6" circle\ they are fine within 100 yards.

I have not loaded any of those bullets, but when I was too busy and was not loading, I bought some Federal Fusions in 30.06. I took several deer with them. As the other said performance was excellent.

My first hunting rifle was very picky with bullets. I just couldn't get anything to shoot accurately in it until I tried the Fusions. They shot about a 1.5" group at 100 yards while everything else was shooting 3" or bigger. Most, quite a bit bigger. I was really impressed by the accuracy of them. I didn't even get any handloads to shoot as well as the Fusions. I only shot one deer, but it was at 170 yards or so and I hit it in the shoulder and it made a tiny hole all the way through, but the deer dropped right there and didn't move again. I was happy with the accuracy and the performance. I'd recommend them.
