Funny Bunnies..

Point Blank

More like "Point Darwin". I bought smooth sandbags for my front rest and a bunny ear for my rear rest. I really never knew where to place the stock in the bunny ears so i assumed that one puts the "square butt" (those familiar with the Savage stock, the lower part behind trigger where the silver indian head is) towards the front of the bag so the bag actually absorbs most of the recoil. But lately i have been reading about people who dust their ears with baby powder so the stock will slide in the ears smoother. At that point i realized i am probably setting my stock in the ears wrong:rolleyes: . What, do i put the smooth part of the stock in the ears??? Guess jamming the square butt towards the front of bunny ears made sense to me as the bag caught most of the 30-06's recoil. Hope i didnt completely confuse anyone!!! If i was wrong i cant wait to go shooting again with the stock set in the ears properly, has to improve my groups:p

Most folks set the rear bag about halfway down the bottom of the buttstock. You can go fore and aft a small amount for coarse height adjustment.
