Fun with the M44: Destroying an H&K mag

^^^^ NEVER GET RID ON AN ENFIELD:eek::eek::eek:
haha the mosin carbines do look fun but just comparing the 91/30s to my savage and my little brother's long branch I would never take a MN action over an Enfield. more accurate, more ammo capacity, wayyyyy smoother action and more balanced design.

don't get me wrong, MNs are alright guns and I'm sure the carbines have better balance than the long rifles but I just can't see one outdoing an enfield.

The only reason I got rid of both MN 44s was because they produced very large groups at 50 yards from a benchrest: both with the bayonet extended and retracted. They had decent lands and rifling, but there might have been some real muzzle wear. The only ammo was both 1950s and 70s Bulgarian.

The main reason they were gradually replaced with six Enfields (#4s and #5s) is the accuracy, having the aperture sights. Except for one, all of them were built in England and have four or five-groove rifling.

Reloading with the Single Stage Lee makes it affordable.
