Will the full size Glocks still be popular when the hi-cap. high dollar magazines supply drys up?

I think regular magazines (and not Federally mandated limited capacity magazines) will always be available. It may just cost as much as the gun itself, but if you've got a prince's wealth, you can buy a princely magazine.

I hope the magazine restriction, along with the restriction against evil black guns is lifted.

I think they will stay about the same. I can guarentee that easily 7 out of 10 Glock owners could care less if they are stuck with 10 round mags. Heck, some of them probably don't even know that there are preban mags out there, or what one is at that! Now those of us on here are different. We are "into" guns and are aware of the situation with prebans and postbans. Personally, I can live with the 10 rounders, I don't like it one bit, but I can live with it. Plus, you have to realize, that not everyone out there who buys a Glock, or any other handgun, is going to be carrying concealed. They have it for their houses or competition or what have you. Then there are the guys like my brother and some guys I work with that want something that feels good in there hands, not on their belt concealed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating the stupid ban, I hope it sunsets before the next election like its supposed to. But until then, we're stuck with what we got.

What are you referring to restriction on black guns?

I believe he is referring to "assualt rifles", particularly the AR-15. I agree with him on that point too, as they were lumped together back in '94.

I think a lot of people haven't even tried to get full capacity magazines. Even with the same capacity, my home defense handgun has the same capacity as my carry.
If you can't get the job done in 10 rounds, I'm not sure more is going to help. That said, like many others, I have full capacity magazines just in case, like many others.

I haven't bought a Glock yet, but if they come out with a 10mm and .45 ACP in the Practical/Tactical frame, I'm all over it.

I could be wrong, but I think that the magazine ban will be due for a revote, or whatever it is called, in 2003 or 2004? Something about the original ban only good for 10 years?

Hi Cap mags??? When was the last time you were able to fill a Glock mag to its designated capacity?
I think that 10 rounds of any caliber would be enough to at least keep the fight fair. But the initial beauty / appeal of the Glocks were it hi-cap nature. Now that 10 rounds are the "max" of all guns, the smaller nature of the Glock and its light weight make the compacts and sub compacts more appealing.

Yes. The full sized Glocks fit some people's hands better, the longer barrel gives more velocity, the longer sight radius is nice and like www.glock19.com says, even the full sized Glocks aren't that huge. Well, the 17 and 22 anyway. I co-coached baseball for two years with a guy who ran around in shorts and tshirt like a kid on the diamond and outfield. I found out at the end of the second year he was a policeman and when I asked him about the Glock 22's they had just gone to he pulled it out of his shorts and showed it to me. I'd never spotted it and it never seemed to have impeded his running or bending. I was amazed. He wasn't a large guy.

If I had to choose between a full sized Glock and an intermediate sized Glock, I'd choose the full. I just don't like the feel of the mediums.
