to make a short story long i was skeet shooting with my 590.it was fun, have never done that before.well after about 20 trap load rnds i have a hull that has failed to be extracted.lucky i have my leatherman.i cleared the spent hull then i noticed the extractor was sitting high out of the bolt and the extractor spring had worked itself out from under the extractor claw.the gun is and was extremely clean and there was no crud accmulated around the bolt or chamber .the gun is now at a gunsmith with instructions to fix. has anyone had this problem before,

Mossberg pump guns have a 10 year warrany, why have a gunsmith fix it for $$$ when Mossberg would fix it for free??

From what I hear they have a really quick turn around, too.

oh yea.... sorry guys i fergot to remember. i bought the gun 12 years ago fired a dozen rounds in it cleaned it then promply got distracted with other guns and projects.the time it failed to extract was only the second time it had been used.

have a smith hone the chamber real well that should do it or get ya a 1 inch wide stip of 320 and roll it around a piece of dow rod that has a slit in it so you can wrap it around tightly and get your drill and hone it yourself
