Frozen mauser 1914

I recently obtained a 1914 Mauser 7,35. The pistol is in great shape and functioned very well. I used a snap cap and the mechanism worked great, but the problem came after the third time that I dissembled and reassembled the pistol. The slide snapped forward after reassembly and locked up. I cannot even budge the slide even a little. There was a snap cap in the mag when I inserted it. Any info or help would be greatly be appreciated.

A gunsmith will be a good idea if you can not figure this out.

Hold the slide with an overhand grip and smack the backstrap HARD with the palm of your other hand.

Holding slide

This happened with my PPK after firing. The firing range manager hit the handle for me and it popped back. Well I figured out that I had put the recoil spring in backwards and after turning it around I had no more problems.
