Front sight replacement on a sporterized No.4 Enfield

I was given a sporterized Enfield by a friend who has now passed away. It has no magazine (easily fixed) and a 21.5" barrel. It would be a great rifle except that the front sight was replaced with one that is razor thin and very tough to see through the aperture rear sights.

Is there somebody that could put an original military type front sight back on this rifle? Thanks.

no 4# front

Dear Sir:
If the original diameter of the bbl hasn't been reduced under the original dia, yes, you could put an original on.
If not, some pretty nice ramps are made into which you could put a nice gold or ivory bead on!

Not on that one. The barrel has been cut 3.75". It was likely cut off right behind the original sight. Depending on what sight was put on, you might be able to find a wider front sight at Williams or one of the other sight makers. The height of the front sight will need to match that of the rear sight if you go this route.
Plan 'B' would be one of the mediocre scope mounts available. Changing the barrel is an option too, but that involves more money.
