Front sight question for Ruger Blackhawk

I've got a ragged-hole rear sight on my Blackhawk. Would like to change the front to accommodate my "old" eyes. Is there a manufacturer who makes a front sight for the Blackhawk?

unless the front sight is pinned in , you will need a gunsmith that can machine a slot and make a different front sight. what do you want in a different front sight. I had a red insert put in my 41 mag blackhawk along with a Clark white outline adjustable rear sight

The front sight is pinned. I haven't had any luck searching the web for a company that provides an interchangable front sight for the Blackhawk. Just hoping someone has found one to pass along.

A good machinist can make you what you want. Just take him your front sight and explain to him what you need.

On mine, I had a friend cut me a piece of steel the right width and length. Then I just filed it down till I had the sights zeroed at 50 yards. Looked pretty ghetto till I case hardened it, but it worked.
