Front mags legal in Kalifornia???

Does anyone REALLY know if the pistols with the mags in front of the trigger will be legal here (Kali) next year?
Lots of rumors that they will not be.
I want a new Hammerli but it has the 5 rd. mag in the front.

Rumor has it that Cal politico Parata has invited a young lady Olympic shooter to practice out of state as her Olympic legal pistol is not legal in this state.
 
Oh, no! Don't tell me there is some hint of sanity in the California political scene. The thought is just too radical and is making me feel confused and disoriented.
