Front Fiber Sight for 1911 dovetail mount

I shot a guys Kimber with a green front sight the other day and would like to experiment myself. I believe he said it was from EGW ??? Anyone have a good one they can steer me to ? THANKS...dewey

Based on your gun's manufacturer one should be available for easy fit; Caspian, Dawson, etc.

I tried different sized rods, prefer the smaller Caspian. In green.

Several available.

There are a lot of front sight options available to fit the Kimber dovetail. My CST has a green fiber optic front from Brazos Custom. The rod diameter is 0.060 inches.

My Caspian .40/10mm has one from EGW. A friend of mine has the one from Caspian. Most shooters, at least the ones I shoot with, prefer the green rod. Fiber optic fronts are IDPA legal.

If your pistol has a fixed rear sight, you will need to find one that most closely matches its front sight height.
