Here's the big brother to my Baby Frommer, the unusual Stop pistol.

If you want to talk about Old World craftsmanship, those gun frames (like the Roth-Steyr) were milled and drilled out of one solid block of steel.

When planning gun production in WWII, a General Motors engineer visited Colt and watched them making .45 pistols. He told them, "You aren't making guns, you are making chips; guns are just a byproduct." He would have had fun in Budapest.
