Self-defense is a privilege that governments may choose to grant or withdraw.

That first sentence says it all. The UN is un-American in every respect, it was set up as a Communist orgnization and has remained so for 60 years or so. The sad part is some people in this country see it as a good thing. The rest of the world, for the most part, have given away their rights and want to take the US down to their level, then the bar will be lowered again, until the whole world is just a feudalistic sociaty with a few kings and the rest peasants. The UN is a good example of incrementalism at work. Good post, Alan.
