Friendly competition shooting. (Pellet/BB guns)

Yes, I know these are not real firearms.
But who doesn't enjoy a Pellet gun?
So my friend and I are toying around with challenging each other.
I thought it would be interesting to see what thoughts I got about this.
I'm kinda making some of this up as I type, others I already thought up.

1. Place 8 targets in 15 yd increments.(What should they be? (120 yds total.))
2. Targets get smaller as distance increases.(or same size throughout (cans??))
3. Designate how many shots per target. (5 shots??)
4. Use a Point system. (10 for hit 0 for miss?(for cans))
5. Bonus target for extra points in the end? (150 yds for extra 50 points?)

Let me know what you guys think.
I want to have some fun with this.
Oh, and I'm assuming I'll get crap if I don't post this.
Yes, I do realize anything over 75 yds is tough for a pellet/BB gun.
Most .22 LR's even have problems with 100 yd shots with wind. lol
But thats what makes this so challenging. :)
I want it to be tough, so help me make it tough! :D

Thanks everyone!

I shoot at about 20 to 25 yards using 1/4 inch colored dots lined up in rows on a sheet of paper. I had to go through about 20 different pellet types finding the ones that will actually hold a quarter of an inch. There are a couple of pellets that will hold 3/8 of an inch really well so it's fairly easy to hit them consistantly.

A friend of mine is quite competitive so I had him over to shoot dots for a quarter a dot. It was a blood bath as he hasn't done the work finding what pellets his rifle shoots best. I was laughing so hard it was hard to shoot. I asked him if he could hit a 1/4 inch dot and his reply was yeah if you can I can. I asked so then you'd be okay with a quarter a dot? It was on. :D

Mine is a Beeman R9 special edition with a Swift Premium Airgun scope in 6-20x, that's a sleeper quality $275 scope that's made for air rifles.

Sounds like great fun.
The targets should not get smaller with increased distance, especially out to over 100yds.
The trajectory and wind will provide plenty of challenge and targets seem to naturally shrink with distance.
Reactive targets are the most fun.
Swinging steel or wood, charcoal briquettes, derelict Christmas tree ornaments, eggs, balloons, water filled pill bottles, 'etc. all make great targets.

I got a old pump up BB gun. We used to sit at the river while fishing and put those little stakes in the mud that cement guys use.5 shots a pc till some one would shoot the stake in two. Killed lots of time waiting for the cats to bite.:) Cheap entertainment too. heck i just went out and got one of those little pistol soft bb gun things to fart around in the house with.Thing say 275 fps on it. Tv gets boring sometimes.

I used to travel a lot in my job, for fun in the motel room after work we would shoot at match heads across the room at the longest range possible!
I would use a telephone book for a backstop covered with duct tape to keep the mess down and a Crossman .177 pellet rifle for shooting.
We had a lot of fun with that.
Now in my backyard I shoot my son's paint balls with my RWS at varying ranges. They explode nicely when you hit em!

I like the paint ball idea!! :D
Thats awesome!
As for the Air Soft gun you mentioned.
I have a very high end one.
It's a Full metal M4 full automatic.
My friends and I all have wars with them.
About 5-10 guys on each team on about 3-4 acres.
Thats a fun game.
You can get any kind of gun in airsoft you can imagine.
Just type in the gun you want in google, then put airsoft after it.
The assault rifles we use shoot around 350-450 FPS.
The snipers shoot around 600-800 fps.
And the pistols, whether, CO2, Green Gas, or spring shoot around 250-300.
Sorry, way off topic, I thought you might find it interesting.
