Message From the D.C. Chapter--Re: Our Saturday White House Protests

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic has protested at the White House against
the reign of terror on the Constitution by the Clinton-Clinton-Gore
administration and their myrmidons in the press
every Saturday ( with the exception of three) for more than 25 months
straight.
Our peaceful, civil demonstrations have been seen by more than one million
people from across America and around the world. During the impeachment
proceedings against President Clinton the
D.C. Chapter was shown on ABC, NBC, CNN and FOX. Since impeachment, we have
been on German TV and filmed by Japanese and Turkish TV (we don't know if the
footage was broadcast).
We have also been featured in The Washington Times, and members have been
quoted and/or photographed by the AP, Los Angeles Times and other print media.
After more than two years, the D.C. Chapter has a well-earned reputation for
being law-abiding, well-mannered, and the best informed protesters in town.
We also are known for our skill at
demolishing high-ranking government officials, reporters, and
meanspiritedarrogantcondescendingliberals from 100 yards without a
bullhorn--simply by speaking the truth.
Through it all, we have been blessed to have the support, help and company of
FReepers everywhere. We are profoundly grateful, and deeply honored--we could
not have done it without all of you
standing with us and behind us.
Now, with the Clinton-Clinton-Gore administration nearing its end, we are
faced with a new challenge. The Democratic party is threatening to rend this
country apart over the contested presidential
election in the state of Florida. While we long ago pledged to carry on our
regular Saturday protests until the "last minute of the last hour of the last
day" because we will never "move on" from the
treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors committed by this
administration, our protests will now be a bulwark in D.C. against the
Democrats' last ditch effort to keep their criminal
enterprise in power.
If you live in the D.C. area, and are a FReeper or lurker in good standing,
we urge you to join us every Saturday from now until January 20, 2001 at the
White House from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in
front of the Northeast Visitors Gate.
For those of you who are not familiar with the D.C. Chapter: our protests are
filled with good cheer; we do not use or tolerate profanity; we do not
threaten those who disagree with us; we treat law
enforcement officers with respect and we obey the law.
Also, if you don't have a protest sign, don't worry, we have plenty.
