CAR DEALER TO GIVE AWAY GUNS
Will give free rifle to car buyers & free water pistol to kids
Greg “Lumpy” Lambert, owner of Advantage Auto Sales at 6817 Clinton Hiway in Powell plans to celebrate the Second
Amendment to the United States Constitution on Saturday by giving everyone who purchases a vehicle from his busines
that day a free rifle. All children will be given a free water pistol whether or not their parent buys a car.
Mr. Lambert is a member of the National Rifle Association and the Knoxville based Rights Education Fund, and feels
strongly that the right to keep and bear arms, guaranteed by the Second Amendment, must be maintained. While the rifles
to be given away are functional firing guns and will come with no strings attached, Mr. Lambert emphasizes that all federal
and state laws relative to the purchase and possession of firearms will be observed. Rather than receive an actual rifle, the
purchaser will be given a voucher which can be redeemed at Gun Craft Sports in West Knoxville.
During the Second Amendment Saturday celebration members of the Rights Education Fund will be on hand with
educational literature and available to discuss 2nd Amendment issues with interested persons. Ed Williamson, co-founder
of the Rights Eduation Fund, says he and other members of the Fund stand ready to engage those with opposing views in
debate. Members of Handgun Control, Inc. or any other anti-Bill of Rights organization interested in such a debate can
contact Williamson at 865-919-4308 or Thomas Henley, also a co-founder and a local attorney, at 865-938-6205.
The Rights Education Fund’s most recent activity was in conjunction with the August 5th gun “buy back” conducted by the
Knoxville Police Department. Members of the Rights Education Fund were present to persuade citizens of the necessity of
keeping their guns for self defense and protection of their families.
