Good article, but the cop in the example should have had two things: a flashlight and backup.

It's still a good argument for developing better police training, maybe some sort of low-light tactical scenarios? IDPA After Dark? Monday Night Hardball (with host Dennis Miller)?
 
With the time change upon us and night falling earlier... Texas Tactical IDPA will resume the monthly night shoots in October. Can't wait! :)
