Franford arsenal case prep center

I don't have one (yet), but we've had this question before, so I can tell you that there are several members that do have them and they all were positive about it.

Hopefully some of them will reply here sometime soon.

Also, I have a buddy that has one, and while I haven't used it, he has raved to me about it enough that I'm seriously considering getting one in the fall.

I have read many reviews and all are positive, just wanted some feedback from some of the forum members, I have a bit of time, expecting a cabela's gift card very soon and then I will pull the trigger. I cant stand trimming by hand crank anymore...

I have one and have used it for well over a year. It works great. Once set for your trim length it holds that setting very well, no wandering.

I only trim 3 calibers on it though, 22-250, 6.5 Creedmoor and 308 as I don't shoot lots of those at a time. For 223, I use the Trim-It II in a drill press as it trims, chamfers and deburrs in one pass.

I have one, had it for 6 months. I use the trim station for .223 only, then i use the other three stations for chamfer and debur.

I also have the RCBS Trim Mate right beside it that I decrimp and primer pocket clean with. I also use one station on it for trimming with the LEE trimmer adapter.

The Frankford is a better unit than the RCBS

I've had one for close to 2 years and have only used it for .223. I never did case prep with hand tools so I can't directly compare to those, but I can say that the Frankford case prep center is a very nice unit that works extremely well!

I've trimmed 1500 - 2000 cases and like many before me I'll probably upgrade to the RCBS carbide cutter in the near future. I also run the RCBS pocket hole uniformer and crimp remover tool heads on the unit (only have to use those once on each case luckily).

The trim consistency holds very tight tolerances and once you lock in your cut length it won't ever move unless you want it too. The unit has plenty of power for what it does and I've never felt it at down or feel it was stressed during operation.

There are a ton of reviews on Amazon as well if you haven't already looked there. Basically it's a great unit for the casual to even serious shooter, but i probably wouldn't recommend it if precision competitions are your thing.

Have one, love it, primarily use for 223 for trimming, but that's because it's the vast majority of rifle that I shoot. If you buy it, there is a "supplemental" pack that contains a carbide primer reamer that comes in very handy on crimped cases.
