Just broke on the local Fox Channel in Philadelphia. It was just reported that election officials have thrown out 19,000 votes in Palm Beach, because the punch cards contained votes for more than one presidential candidate. So far, no word on who these votes where for. This could be great news, or our worse nightmare. Damn, now how am I suppose to go to bed?!!!

And what's to stop unscrupulous "election officials" from punching an extra hole in an otherwise perfectly legit Bush ballot? This could be way bad. -- Kernel

That could never happen here. The Traitorcrats would never dream of committing fraud.

Well, the question is, is Palm Beach liberal, or conservative? Who here knows?

Dangus, I believe, based on another thread here in L&P, that is Rich's county.

Here is a link to some of the report on FoxNews. www.foxnews.com/election_night/after/trail_pm.sml

To save space and not fill up the thread any more than necessary I'm not going to copy and past it here but there are also problems in Pinalles County that will not be fixed until Thursday.

Dangus,
According to CNN, Palm Beach voted 62% Gore, 36% Bush. If these ballots where across the board, then they would benefit Bush 2 to 1. The local Fox Channel mentioned it again when they signed off at 11 PM, but I can't find conformation, nor are any of the other local Philly news programs reporting it.

Thanks for the link, Gunslinger. I couldn't find that on the fox news site 20 minutes ago.

My local DC news just announced that the 19,000 votes were tossed out during the first count.

This good be good, or this could be waaaaaaaaaaay bad.

It could be good if these were voters who wanted to vote for Gore, and accidentally voted for Buchannon, and then decided to punch a hole for Gore anyway, which invalidated their ballot.
As such, you can bet this will be used as 'evidence' by the left that the ballots wree printed wrong and that legal action must be taken.
If this argument doesn't hold up in court, we could be 19,000 closer. If the argument does, then we may very well be f***ed.

The ballot was designed by a democrat. She defended it as legit. No complaint was filed by any party before the election, and all parties saw the sample ballot.
Sounds like typical liberal whining to me. Not our fault if they are too fricking stupid to READ the ballot before punching holes.
