The other day I was looking for an electrical adaptor I thought I once had and came across three boxes of plain white box, black stamped lettering, Remington, .38 New Colt Police ctg's. Top of box says, "50 Center Fire Cartridges, Caliber .38 Colt New Police, Remington Arms Company, INC. Bridgeport, Conn. Made in United States Of America" The headstamps say, "REM-UMC over 38 COLT NP" I'd forgotten I had them and can't really remember where I picked them up. They are in good to very good shape with little dis-coloration, no white fluffy stuff on the lead and no green stuff on any of the brass.
Anybody seen any of that ammo for sale lately? Anybody want to venture a ballpark guess as to what it might be worth?
Nope, never did find that electrical adaptor.
Edit: There's no Lot Number stamped on the outside of the box, but I did find "M12P" stamped on the inside of the flap. And "T252" is stamped (impressed) on the bottom of the cardboard tray.
Wonder if this wasn't contracted for either the war effort- plants and such, or lend/lease?
