Former Malaysian PM shocked me...

Just watched CNN's Talk Asia (may not be seen in the US) with host Anjali Rao interviewing former Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad. He said he doesn't agree with Bush's handling of the war and terror so and so but.. when asked about 9-11 he said the perpetrators (muslim extremists) did it because they want to defend themselves. When asked "How is 9-11 defending themselves?" He answered "Well I may not agree on how they did it but when you push people in a corner they will do extraordinary things."
So the best defense is a good offense eh

Wouldn't it be something if all the violence in the world stopped now that the Democrats are going to be in charge?

I just ate a big bowl of ice cream. Too much sugar in my system right now.

Of course, it won't stop and it will still be Bush's fault. Even after he's out of office.

I just hate  to see people saying things that justify extremism. Specially coming from a man of his stature, being a former prime minister and all. :barf:

Let's see if I can get this straight...

  • Muslim radicals are promoting jihad against the west.
  • Muslim Imams are preaching Isalm as "the one true religion".
  • Muslim countries control between 25% and 33% of the world oil supply.
  • One Muslim country invaded another Muslim country and the U.N. authorized force against the aggressor.
  • Afterwards, the U.N. coalition suppressed hostile actions by the aggressor.
  • Muslim radicals have bombed U.S. troop installations, embassies, warships and the WTC in NYC prior to 9-11.
  • On 9-11-2001 Mulsim radicals again attacked on U.S. soil, killing thousands of citizens, destroying the WTC, damaging the Pentagon and attempting to destroy the U.S. Capitol or White House.

In response to the 1993 WTC bombing, the U.S. prosecuted several Muslim radicals according to U.S. law and imprisoned them. Radical Muslims believe these men committed no crime, even if they did, in fact, bomb the building.

In response to 9-11, the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, overthrew the terrorist-supporting Taliban government and outsted Al-Quada from that country. The U.S. also invaded and overthrew the terrorist-sponsoring government of Iraq. Both countries have since held democratic elections.

The prophet Mohammed spread his religion by the sword. He and his followers gave people a choice - renouce their religion and convert to Islam, or die. This doctrine was incorporated into Islam almost from the beginning, along with quaint notions like women as property, conquered people being second-class subjects, a lack of free speech and many other restrictions on the lives of people.

About 800 years ago, radical Islam spread into southern Europe where people were routinely faced with death if they did not renounce their god as a false god and accept Islam as "the one, true faith". During this time, tens of thousands of men, women and children were killed for failing to convert. Non-Arabic women were often sold into chattel slavery or prostitution. Non-Arabic young men and boys were often given only menial jobs or conscripted to "fight for Allah" as sword fodder. This led to the Christian countries forming legions in the Crusades to push Islam back out of Europe.

The worry of the Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu, Hebrew and other religions is that this time around the Islamists may attempt to use a nuclear sword to force conversions on other countries.

Now... just who should be defending themselves, again?
