Hi all wanted to know if anyone has ever used fords gun refinishing. I'm thinking about getting my kahr E9 re-finished in black stainless. also wondering if anyone has done the black stainless and how has the finish held up? thanks

You might try to contact a member here who goes by the handle "Hammer It" as he's had several S&W revolver refinished in both blue and nickel by Ford's. He seems to think very highly of them and judging by the pictures he posts I'm not inclined to argue.

I've seen some pictures of their work on various gun forums. I don't know about durability but they sure came out looking pretty.

Nice gun, but I don't paint my tool's!

Here is one they did for me.....it's very hard to photo the gun...the finish changes with the light....I like it...not every kid on the block has one....it's good if you like it :)

That's a cute little Mustang. Don't know about those grips on it. They kind of blend with the slide. If you want pearl, try a black pearl set.

Here the answer...My wife's gun...she likes it ....nough said:D

They did a great job on rebluing my old Colt Army Special (their "master blue"). A lot of the lettering got polished off, but the gun is much better looking now! It was pretty beat-up, cosmetically.

Fords does excellent work and it is VERY unusual for them to over polish a gun to the point that the roll marks start to wash out unless there were other issues to deal with. They have an engraver who will restore these marks as well as manufacturer's logos if requested.

The fellow who just loves Fords, especially their nickel work is Hammerdown. See this website:
