Disclaimer: the following article is biased so don't be offended if you have another caliber.

As a lover of the 6.5 Grendel I often post my opinions on it. Because of this, I often get PM's from people asking me about my experience with it. It seems as though there isn't enough info about the Grendel floating around the internet, so I have decided to post this link here.

I am not as experienced as many, but if you have any other questions about the Grendel I am a self proclaimed internet-scholar on the subject and I would be happy to share my "knowledge."

Have you noticed that ammo is now more available? Especially the Hornady 123's? Midway Usa, Cabelas and some others all have Grendel in stock now.

Yes, there is also a rumor that some steel cased stuff is coming out. Supposedly it will be about the same price as steel cased 7.62.

I just finished my Grendel build. Shoots the factory A-max dang good.I would like to reload for it usin the 123 Amax to help cut the ammo bill Alexander Arms has a whole laundry list of different powder/ bullet combinations. Does anyone have first hand experience loading the 123 A max if so a powder/ charge recommendation?

The Grendel is getting a larger following all the time. With Hornady making affordable ammo and the Wolf Gold being down right cheap has helped. I finally got off the 6.5/6.8 fence and built a 24" Grendel this winter. The weather well break soon and I can try some longer range shooting, look out sage rats.
