I came across this Ruger Stainless Bisley, in 45 Colt, and I couldn't pass it up. It's had some work done to it, and is extremely tight, but smooth. No play whatsoever in the cylinder, either at lockup or at rest. It's got an oversized Belt Mt. base pin, an oversized cylinder stop, and an action job. 3 lb trigger with no creep. Throats have been trued up, and the cylinder gap is at .003.

Rock solid, and very slick.

The holster is from Freedom Arms.

Excellent!!! :D :D You came across it? Did you get a good price? I'm picking up a like new Vaquero late next week. If your thread is still around, I'll share some pic's.

I selected the slightly used Vaquero $300.00 over a new Bisley $425.00 that my dealer had. I liked the gun, but it was bright blued... :barf: ...Not for me...

Enjoy your beauty... ;)

I did OK on it.

I prefer the adjustable sights of the Bisley Blackhawks. Its a lot easier to shoot many different loads and still hit POA. I will use this for plinking, target shooting and hunting.

Does that say New Model Blackhawk in the photo?

It looks like a custom job to me. I thought the Bisleys were all 7.5 inch barrels.

Doesn't matter, it's one beautiful revolver. I'd bet it shoots like a dream. :)

It's what is known as an Accusport Bisley.

A special run made for the distrubutor, Accusport.

The stainless 5.5 inchers are all Accusports.

I knew Lipsey and other distrubutors had some Rugers special made. Sure looks like Accusport got it right. Bisley in a 5.5 inch (is that correct) barrel sound perfect to me. I think I'd like that better thane the Lipsey .45 SuperBlackhawk hunter I saw.

Congrats on your fine revolver,

Hey Snub, are you gonna take the Ruger trash talk off of the barrel???

Jonathan, I'm still waiting to hear what you named your Glock!!! ;)

Why would I? Trivial things like that don't bother me. A gun is a tool, and I don't care if it has the Encyclopedia Brittanica on the barrel.

It all shoots the same.

Those grey laminated wood ones look AWESOME on stainless guns.
Jeffro250, who makes them?

Hey Snub, about 2 weeks ago I bought a used, kinda beat up Service Six. I'm in the process of restoring it. One of the first things I did was to take the Ruger lettering off, to a nice shiny SS finish. So far it's been allot of fun. Can't say I'd trust myself to do that with a new gun...I have a Vaquero coming in next week. I'm not making any changes either. ;)
