? for SIG P-220 / PRO-MAG owners

Hi all

I have a "Browning BDA" marked P-220, in .45ACP.
These had the european style, heel type mag release.
I would like to purchase a couple of extra mags. The Pro-Mag's look good ($!), but I need to know if they use a metal floorplate with a removable plastic base pad. Or if that big piece of plastic IS the floorplate.

Thanks all.

Actually, the american style will work in either IF the floorplate is like the OEM.
The old euro mag won't work in american style guns simply because there is no hole in the mag body for the mag release to engage.

The Pro Mags use a plastic floor plate. I have the extended ten rounder for my P220. There is a button beneath it just like most mags for taking apart if needed. Most aftermarket mags including Pro Mags usually suck, but I truly lucked out. The Pro Mag I own has fired atleast 800 rounds from it with 0 jams or problems. My buddy bought the extended ten rounder for his P220 also and so far has fired about 200 rounds from it with no problems. By the way, the Sig factory eight rounder mags also have a plastic floor plate. The seven rounders are the ones that are steel.

Thank you very much.
That is exactly the information I was looking for.
Thanks for the heads-up, on the factory mags, too.
I guess my search is for OEM 7 rounders.
Man, they are spendy!
