For Gun-lovin' Bond fans

In the books Bond used the Walther PPK reluctantly.

He didn't want to give up his .25 Beretta.

Man that ASP kicks @$$

The Walther P99 looks like a decent Bond gun. I'd also say a customized Lwt. Commander, but the 1911 is too uniquely "American" for a British Secret Agent.

John Gardner had Bond pack that ugly SW 9mm, and in Live and Let Die (the movie) Bond packs a model 29 SW 44 magnum.

The producers chose to stick with Walther. You can even buy a 007 stamped Walther p99.

The Sig 239 is a better choice for ccw but thats what Scully carries.

I'd say a single stack 9mm compact like the P7 or 239 is more in keeping with the "discreetly armed" view of Bond, rather than the full auto shoot em up action stories of late.

Each mission is different, let Bond choose a proper weapon each time. Lets face it, behind the old Iron Curtain a makarov would be useful. In America a 1911 might be appropriate, well if he had to borrow a gun from Felix Liter.
