For Glock G-26 Owners

What customizations do you have for your G-26 and do you like them? I'm curious and would like some ideas.

I have a 3.5lb trig, Meprolights, extended slide release, and pearce grip extender (I don't use it though, it adds too much height). The usual.

I forgot that I have the magwell plug also and Glock factory plus 2's.

I recommend a Tasco Optima 2000 (the little one) on it. The tiny propoint replaced the rear sight.

Mr. Blonde...."What you said."
I have the same things on my 26, with the addition of the plug for the cavity behind the mag. well. I have 4 mags, 2 with the pearce extension and to without. I like the extension for a trip to the range and the stock mags for carry. This is just a great little pistol and much more accurate than it has a right to be. I put the Mepros on it because I hated the stock Glock sights. Not enough light around the front blade for my old eyes. Glow in the dark was an after thought but a big pluss after seeing how good they work. What is your favorite carry ammo for this pistol? I have been told that an after market barrel for a Glock 19 would fit the 26. Might not be a bad idea to have a longer barrel just for fun. Shoot Safe....CO

3.5 lb trigger bar connector and Pearce mag extensions for my mags. A&G grip extender and some G19 hi-cap mags.

I polished the trigger bar, firing pin safety, and 3.5 pound connector. I also added PT night sights, and the factory extended slide release. I do use the Pearce mag extensions and a couple of M/D Enterprises' holsters (BS-2 and TDS).

Condirion One - Right now I carry Speer plus P plus. I usually carry Federal Hydra-Shok.

Will the 19 barrel fit?

You might want to get rid of those factory plus 2's. The G-29 mags only hold 10 rounds and you are in effect altering them to accept more than 10 rounds with the plus 2's. They are now "Distructive Devices" and could get you into tons of trouble.

If ol' Blonde is an l.e.o., his 12-rd. G26 mags might very well be legal; however, even an l.e.o. can't convert a non-restricted G26 mags to hold more than 10 rds. (legally, of course)

I leave it stock /cept for NS. Putting the fingergrip floorplate/extended mags makes no sense to me - might as well use the G19? Have that one too.

The grip is the hard part to conceal, what is most likely to print. An inch or two of barrel makes no difference most of the time anywhere but a pocket.

You are missing and AGrip. I am partial to the titanium striker and plunger as well. +2 extensions are not legal on a G26 mag.

Mr. Blonde.... I have herd some where that a G 19 barrel will drop right in. You can get after market barrels for under $100. I think I might look for one at the Tulsa gun show in October. 9X19 is right about the M/D holsters, I have a BS-2 that holds the 26 high and tight. Best thing since sliced bread. Shoot Safe....CO

I have a G27. Other than the caliber, it's the same as a G26. I have installed Trijicon night sights and a Pearce magazine extension. Not a plus one, but just a "pinky" rest.
For quite a while I had a Scherer extension on one mag. I replaced it with the Pearce model friday morning. The Pearce makes all the differnce in the world. It not only looks better, it's about 3/8's of an inch shorter.
The Scherer extension stuck me in the side and was uncomfortable. The Pearce doesn't do that. Anyway, only one mag presently has the extension. However, I'm thinking about getting another one in the morning. I like to go to the gun shop. :)
As far as the night sights, when you have them installed you'll wonder how you ever got along without them. At the very least, it gives me great comfort to look at my nightstand in the dark and see my Glock looking back. I know exactly where it is in the dark.
