There is currently on eBay what I believe to be a raw, totally unmachined aluminum casting, complete with Alcoa trademark and casting number still intact, for a High Standard M100 or M101 .22 pistol frame.

Just type "cast aluminum gun" or put this number: 270523779160 in the search engine.
 
It would be hard to tell which manufacture that this is for. Well, at least for me. There are a lot of pistols that have that "basic" shape. Is there something that I am missing that screams HS?

Yep. Compare the contours to a High-Standard M100 or 101 frame.
