Following up on August meet.

Blackpowder

Hello Everybody. I am sorry that It is taking long to get to the TFL site, when you have no phone line and have to rely on library internet. It acts kind of slow, even slower then a snail.

I know that I don't show much interest in guns, But I really like to shoot them and I am especially interested in blackpowder guns and rifles. I have been in Boy Scouts and we had a Assistant Scoutmaster who had Blackpowder rifles and also the troop carried a small cannon to fire everyonce in a while and it shook the trees everytime it fired.

I am planning in the near future to get a Desert Eagle either .50 or a 44 mag. I know that it may be to big for some people. But people have said that a derringer is small for some people. It didn't do a single thing to me.

BP,
While the Desert Eagle is a toy, it is heavy enough to soak up the majority of the recoil from the .44 or .50AE loads, making it enjoyable for practically any shooters. If you're looking for a fun gun, it certainly qualifies.

I highly suggest any neophyte shooters to attend a shooting class or two. Not only will you handle your chosen firearm(s) more safely, but your ability-and therefore, your enjoyment- will be greatly enhanced.
