I see my thread was closed down today. I see one reason was, the topic was not related to 'tactics'. I tried to look for a bullet related topic before, but did not see one. I see this general discussion topic here now.

But I don't appreciate the sentence, that I already knew the answer. No I am still not sure on the answer, that was why I posted here. However, that does not mean that I am going to just agree with everything on there, if I don't. People say their theories, I say what I think back, and they are allowed to disagree with me. I thought "discussion" and "debate" is what this place is about.

I feel that that sentence shows the problem I have been having all along. We don't take violence against women seriously. It seems some people are more interested in discussing their guns like a hobby, and forgetting what guns are REALLY for, protection against violence. My situation is the real deal here. This is what all you are owning guns for. You would think that people would take this a little more seriously.

In fact, that is why I did not say the full story at first. Because I see that as soon as I talk about the real issues, violence against women, and say that the police have been less than perfect, no one wants to hear about it. No one wants to hear anything negative about male authority. To the detriment of women's safety. That means we still live in an unequal and sexist society.

You realize that the moderator who closed that thread is a woman, and one who has dedicated her life to teaching women to defend themselves?

You want to believe it was an assassination attempt, go ahead. But don't blame an internet forum when we, the police, the prosecutor and the FBI (????!!) don't agree with you.

One thing you haven't mentioned, and I think it would completely rule out the possibility that was a bullet-if you were four feet away from that, the sound of its impact would have been *noticeable*. Depending on the caliber, probably quite *noticeable.* Since you did not mention hearing that at the time of the 'gunshot', I think we can be quite confident that was not a bullet fired at that time.

Sue, read these words carefully...

You have judged, labeled and impugned the integrity of the members of this board due to some issue you have with someone else, not the members here. Lashing out in anger at people you do not know anything about illustrates ignorance, selfishness and in reality, the type of behavior you claim to be against. I am talking about actions, not who you are, and everyone can have a bad day. It is certainly your choice how you behave into the future though.

If you want to learn, then learn. This forum has a bunch of really good people with phenomenal subject matter depth. If you rather yell at men, who you don't even know because of your situation and perceptions, then you will not be welcome by the vast majority here.

Okay, how did I yell at the men here? I was talking about my thread being shut down. When I quickly looked thru here, I don't see hardly any threads shut down at all. I see threads open from years ago. I think it is odd, that mine was shut down.

I understand maybe it was not in the right spot, she could have just told me that.

She made some critical comment to me, I don't think was deserved. Just because someone tells me something, does not mean I have to agree with it. And btw, I have gotten many different types of responses, so I can't agree with them all anyway, because they are all different.

If someone tells me for example, yes that was a brick impurity, my response is, well how come the metal did not melt in the furnace? I think that is a valid point. So I was waiting for the poster to come on and give me his response. That is called debate. But he never did that.

The point is, the forum OWNER, Jim K, came on before, and told me he thought it was a bullet. As did some other people. Now you all need to disagree with them. Not me.

Well I have the video of the sound posted, or linked here. But the video does not do it justice. The sound was EXTREMELY loud. My place is kind of set up into a duplex, I have a roommate in the back. She heard it too, and said it was so loud, she thought it was a bomb.

Now see it is interesting you said that, because you are the first person to bring that up.

Everyone else told me, if the sound was that loud, it had to be like a really huge caliber rifle. Which does not really match with that piece in the wall, which everyone says is small caliber.

So maybe it was a small caliber, but because it hit close to us on the brick wall, it sounded louder. That would make sense.

Sorry, Sue, but we're not going to do this; nothing good will come of pursuing this discussion, which is already becoming a bit hostile on all sides.

If you have issues with a moderator's actions, the way to handle that is to send the person a private message. It's not OK to air disagreements with staff in the open forum.
