You're very welcome, Knox. Another option would be getting a single bbl shotgun just for camping and backpacking. One outstanding shotgun for this sort of thing would be the Savage Model 24 combo gun. In 22LR and 20 ga, it would handle most anything,and a box of 22LR and a handful of 20 ga shells would be easy to pack.
Or, maybe get a standard stock and skeletonize it. A friend had a H&R 20 ga with a shortened, skeletonized stock and it was a handy little tool with serious power. As I recall, it ran about 5 lbs and was rough with 3" mag loads, but life is a series of tradeoffs.
If you do go with the folder, do some practicing with the thing. POI oft changes with folders...
