Foamy Bore Cleaner & Suppressors

I was entertaining the thought of using some foaming bore cleaner to break-loose some of the crud in a couple of my cans. I fired-off an email asking about this practice to AAC and Gemtech. I haven't heard back from them as of yet, but do you think this would be effective/safe? I'll post the responses I receive, but in the mean time, I would like to hear some opinions.
 
I've tried it but it's not much more effective than carburetor cleaner. However I've only used it on stainless baffles and tubes so I have no idea how it would would with aluminum components. I take it your cans are sealed?
 
Yeah, the two in question are the OutbackII and the Phantom9. I was just looking for a more effective way of cleaning them than WD40 or Carb Cleaner.
