FNG, old(ish) guns

Hello all. Firstly, I'm almost totally gun ignorant, much bigger interest in knives. But my dad has some firearms that he's kept in a closet for years, and says I can have them if I want. Couldn't tell you how old the guns are, but my dad's 61, and he hasn't bought any that I can remember during my 25 yrs. of bein' around (except for the pistol I mention below). They've all got a little surface rust and need some TLC. I'd like to ask for some assistance on deciding what to get refinished, keep, or sell. Here's the list, I wrote down what I saw printed on the guns that would seem to be necessary info, please let me know if I need to get further details on any:

Marlin Glenfield mod 30A 30-30
Winchester 94 30-30
Marlin 336 .44 magnum
Remington 552 22
JC Higgins model 31 .22 Sears Roebuck & Co. (looks pretty cheap)
And if no one minds my mentioning on the rifle forum 2 shotguns and a semi auto pistol-Winchester model 12 ,12 ga. full, 2 3/4; Savage model 67 series E .410; S&W 459

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

Are you interested in hunting, plinking, self defense? Which of these guns do you find interesting? They are all worth cleaning up. Go to a gunshop and ask for a bottle of Hoppe's #9 solvent. Then get some fine texture steel wool. Dampen the steel wool with the solvent and burnish the exterior surface of the guns .The light surface rust will come off. Off hand in value you have enough there to keep Jerry Busse smiling as he processes your order.

The Winchester 94, the 552 and the Model 12 are the best "keepers" in the bunch. The rest are pretty much plain vanilla. Nothing wrong with the 336 in .44 Mag, but it's a rather limited-use gun.

The 552 is one of the better plinking/hunting .22 rimfires; the Model 12 has some collector value as well as being a heckuva good bird gun.

As far as values, the "Blue Book" (Fjestad; $30 at gunstores or maybe Barnes/Noble) will give pretty good info on retail $. Figure 20% or so less, to make them sell.
