FN FS2000: CQB perfection?

I love this gun.

5000 rounds - ZERO malfunctions

You've got the punch of a full sized 17 inch barrel, the compact size of a 12 inch SBR. It balances like a dream, snaps up on target faster than anything I've shot, except for an HK PDW. It might not look it, but damn its comfortable to hold too. Lefty friendly in every regard. Ok I'll shut up now. Here's some pics.

^^Even kept paces with the vaunted HK 416. Little bit heavier, but faster on the follow up shots.

aaaaand the ladies love it

Thats all folks. If you want an incredibly capable close quarters rifle but dont want to shell out the dough and time for an SBR stamp, consider one of these.

I always had a soft-spot for bullpups, but I don't know a lot about the FS2000. I've never handled one, much less shot it. The local shop had one in some time back, but I was looking for other toys to fill in my collection at the time.

Glad to hear some positive reviews of it, nevertheless.

Nows the time to buy if you do think you really want one. CDNN is discounting them down to like 1399 and I believe HKSpecialist has some great prices too

The FN P90, Steyr AUG, and F2000 all have polymer in the trigger/hammer group.

All three are proven military rifles with a strong history of reliable function.

Hell, the AUG has been in service for almost 40 years.

I've had the AUG and PS90.....but I'm struggling with the decision of FS2000 or SCAR 16S as my next 5.56 rifle this year. If i ended up with the FS2000
I actually like the "classic" model with the built in low powered scope inside a housing, rather than the picitenny rail top. Great rifles either one.

I love them. I love shooting them. I love holding them. Handles better than any other gun out there and the best ergos I've felt. Even better than the ACR or SCAR. I love how the brass just falls out the front.

I disagree about the ergonomics but thats just me. I dislike the ergonomics and hate the the trigger. Other than that i'm sure it's a fine rifle. Looks sexy too. Especially without that fixed scope. That thing was F-Ugly.

I think the integrated optic looked horrible.

As much as ownership of a gun shouldnt be based solely on looks, I can tell you that I'd never buy the standard optic version, because it looks downright silly.

Maybe in 40 years it will be considered sexy, but for now, it looks like a toy or a movie prop, not a serious weapon.

The rail version is still odd looking but not near as bad.

I'm not a huge fan of the 2000 in my limited experience with them, but saying it keeps paces with HK's over hyped, under performing attempt to build an M4 isn't setting the bar very high. (And I have rather more experience with the 416 leading me to that assessment.)

I've toyed around with an Aug once, while on deployment. The person carrying it must have thought that I was crazy because I was little excited to get to feel the weight and give it an actual look over, I knew buddies thought I was crazy for sure.

I've come into contact with a PS90 once before at a gun store in Killeen, TX. I would've bought it on the spot if I wasn't deploying in a week after I came across it.

Though I prefer the looks of the MTAR/Tavor-21 over the FS2000, not really sure why though...
