Fn FAL FN FNC

not sure why, but i've found myself lately really wanting to look into a civilian version of the FN FAL 50.63 or the FN FNC. i'm leaning away from fnc because I already have a 5.56nato m4clone. I don't want a 7.62 ar either.

I like that the 50.63 is both .308 and has a 17" barrel.

Opinion time!
Is the "right arm of the free world" all that it's cracked up to be?
What are decent prices for one?

Yes it is. A good FAL is a treasure.

Not going to give you match accuracy, but "minute of man" out to 600 yds is very possible.

DSA makes good one for 1200-15-- bucks. Franken FAL's are typically less and can be sought on the FAL Files.

Not many semi auto FNCs around. Rumor is there are close to as many registered auto-sears for FNCs as there were FNCs imported. Thus, most people who has an FNCs converted theirs to full auto.

Turns a $1500 gun into a $12,000 gun.
 
Get a good FAL and you'll love it. Mine is a SAR-48HB, and it has been my favorite rifle since the 80s. The HB model is more accurate, also.
