FN FAL - 50 Sear Cut

Once more I need to tap into the knowledge base.

I recently saw an FN FAL described using the term "50 Sear Cut". Can anyone fill me in as to what this designation may mean?

It means that the ejector block is cut to accept the full auto/safety sear. Some of the early imports had the cut, but the numbers are few. All new ones sold today have the uncut ejector block
