Hello there, smithy types,
Here are two photos of the firing pin dimple left in the hammer of my FM 90, which has fired less than two hundred rounds of standard pressure ammo since new(purchased unfired and unissued). The firing pin and spring function normally. Does anybody besides me see a problem here with soft steel in this hammer?
The locking lugs on the barrel and in the slide are still knife-sharp, and there are no unusual wear patterns, but methinks this hammer is a goner. What say thee?
