Florida permit in Texas?

I recently got the Florida Concealed Carry Permit and im a Texas resident. Is it safe for me to carry a concealed firearm in Texas sence my permit is from florida and im a texas resident?

Ive spoke with several police officers both local, county, and state and some say they dont think so and some say they have no idea.

I was just looking at www.packing.org, and I don't see where it disallows it. It doesn't say anything about it other than it does say that non-resident Fl is honored. That may or may not be significant, I'd check with a lawyer just to make sure.

As a comparison on that site, it does come right out and say that Ga will not honor any other states' non-resident licenses for Ga residents (Ga residents must have Ga licenses), so if you were talking about Ga instead of Tx, I could give a definitive answer (or as definitive as a non-lawyer can be).

A FL permit is valid under any reasonable reading of the law, because the reciprocity law doesn't make any mention of a person's state of residence.

Is there a single documented instance of a TX resident with a non-res FL permit being arrested for concealed carry in TX?
