Well, After 4 years of loyal service, the front front flip up lens cover on my SAR gave its life to save my Leupold Vari-X III. Now its time to buy another set.
My old set were made by Bushwacker and I've been quaite happy with them. Now I can't find them anywhere. All I've found are Bultercreek and Weaver. Both of these have Clear, Amber, or Smoked lens covers. My Bushwackers were just normal flat black plastic. I like the flat black plastic because it isn't shiny doesn't refect light. Also, I can't see no practical reason to use my scope while a piece of clear $5 plastic is in front of $600 optics.
Does anyone know a place that sells the plain black Bushwackers, or a comparable item?
