I bought a bunch of them from K-VAR when they were $9.99, and they work great! They look good, too, if you have the black synthetic furniture on your AK. The Bulgarian waffle mags have metal inserts molded into the plastic where the mag inserts into the AK, to include the mag catch tabs front and rear, and the magazine feed lips. Even at $11.99 it's a good deal, still a good bit cheaper than the metal 30-rounders. Although they'd be more rust-resistant, they probably wouldn't hold up to that tank-proof durability test so often attributed to the steel mags...
