So I bought an 870p used, everything seemed fine until I emoved the stock. The stock itself will bolt on snugly to the receiver, no problems there. But the recoil pad, absolutely, positively will not screw onto the stock. I have a suspicion the previous owner stripped the threads by trying to drill the recoil pad on out of laziness. IF so, the damage is imperceptible. The screws just will not screw tight, they will turn forever.
How should I fix this? I'm guessing just a set of longer screws in the same thread? Does anyone know what Speedfeed uses threadwise?

I have drilled out the holes and epoxyed a wood dowel into them . Then just drill for wharever screw you want to use ! Or you can just go to the next larger wire size , ( Which may also require drilling so as not to split the screw boss ) and reinstall the pad . If the holes in the pad are too small , just open them up with a drill , from the bottom , and drill just the hard plastic !
