Five-Seven illegal?

I went shopping today. I went to Dave's, to see if they still had the Five-Seven in the case. They did, and I verified that I'd have to buy another holster when I get it. Went over to Tularosa Trading Post, and hung around for a bit, figured I'd get his price. He said they'd banned the ammo, and stopped civilian sales of the gun. Apparently he went to some meeting with the BATF, or it was mentioned at Shot Show, I can't remember. Is it true? Dave's said they still had ammo, I hope it's boxer primed.
 
The armor piercing and hollow point ammunition is not sold to civilians in the United States. You can still buy the SS196 practice ammunition. I don't think the weapon itself is banned in any states. Yet.
