fitting a magwell

Yes it should fit, minor fitting maybe needed.
Check out Midway USA, they have a huge variety. I thing the spring housing with the enlarged magwell is what you are talking about, or is it just the bottom magwell?
 
Like the ones fitted on the STI? It should fit, which one is it? Most of the time you just have to push the pin out, put the magwell on and reinstall the pin. It also depends on wether it is made for a double stack or a single stack 1911
 
Yeah, It's just like the ones on the STI race guns. I wanted a Dawson Ice Brand of magwell but when I called and asked them about one for a springfield armory double stack frame they said they only had the one for a sti, para, or glock. I asked them if the para or the sti would work and they didn't know. I have looked all over the internet for one but can't find anything that says it will fit a springfield. If anyone has one on a springfield I would should like to know what brand it is. Thanks
 
Good luck finding one Kg4mon. Sorry I didn't help out too much, but I think it should fit on the SA, or maybe you can call a smith around your area and ask them for input to see if they can help. :)
 
Finally

Thanks to Everyone on this forum for the help, I finally found a magwell that fits a springfield armory frame. A Para Ord. fits perfectly with no gunsmithing.
