First Time

Hello All,

This is my first post on this forum. I've been spying on you all for some time though. I want to let you guys know what brought me here, so I'll try to make a long story short.

In 1991 I purchased my first hand gun. It was a revolver. Several years after that, due to financial concerns (I was concerned because there were no finances) I was forced to part with that gun... sort of a shoot or eat situation. Some years following that, I got back into the wonderful world of hand gun ownership. All of my purchases were semi-autos. I have them in several varieties. Forgive me. I was "sucked in" by the allure of the bottom feeder.

I always knew that something was missing. I knew what it was, but for some unknown reason I couldn't seem to admit it. You never forget your first love. You never forget your first car. You never forget your first dog. I never forgot my first gun.

Yesterday I became re-acquainted with an old friend. I purchased a brand spanking new GP 100 4" stainless. Last night she got a thorough cleaning. Tomorrow we will spend some quality time on the range. Speed strips have been purchased. Holster and drop pouches are on order. Winter is coming to Texas and she should conceal nicely under most jackets. I will post photos in the near future.

Thanks for letting me rant. I look forward to my stay here.

"Winter is coming to Texas....."

She won't be here for a while, yet, but you can wear a jacket if you want. (Heck, fall just got here last week).:D

Welcome to TFL

After you shoot your new GP-100, consider new grips. I've put my GP-100 with Smooth Classic Eagle Grips up several times. I like the balance it seems to add to the gun. And, I'm a steel and wood type...;)
