First side by side Win. M23 or Browning B-SS

I've found a buyer for my Browing Citori White Lightning and am getting ready to buy one of two different Side by sides I have located.

I won't go into the paticulars on each gun but they are set up very similar. Both are Straight stock (English) and both are 12 ga.

Which is better made and more mechanically sound, the Winchester Model 23 or the Browning B-SS???

Money burning a hole in my pocket (a very rare thing for me) but I don't want to buy either one without some opinions.

I'm totally in the dark about these two side by sides but they are both in my budget. The model 23 is shorter "25.5" barrels and lighter" but I've had very good experiences with my Browning Citori White Lightning.

Opinions and thoughts appreciated!!!

I don't have a lot of experience with either model - but I've had over a dozen Browning's over the years and they've never let me down.

I'd recommend the browning if for no other reason.

Some of the guys I know that are still shooting the Browning side by sides - are kind of lusting over the new Beretta's side by sides - with screw in chokes, etc.

I've got the BSS, its extremely durable and dependable. But, it swings like a fence post. I rarely shoot it as I reach for my better handling guns. It's 3" chambers were useful before steel shot.....

You need to see which fits and handles to your liking.
