first range time with the new Beretta

Well, guys, I finally got out this afternoon and got to go shoot a round of trap with my youngest son. Both of us were breaking in our new shotguns; his is a 20 gauge Mossberg and mine is that new Beretta Urika 20 gauge I got for my 25th anniversary (early present).

That Beretta is sweet! Thanks to you all who suggested the 20 semiauto, because it was a terrific idea. My shoulder is no more sore than when I shoot 25 rounds with my .243 and I think I have a new favorite shooting event. Didn't do too badly for my first ever trap outing (10/25) but I'll get better at it. The Beretta was everything I wanted...a fun shotgun without being punishing or uncomfortable.

And thank you, Archerandshooter, for my early anniversary present!!!! :D

I think the Beretta semi-autos are the finest on the market today. Just bought an A391 Teknys gold 20 ga. Sweet!! Glad you like your new Beretta and 10/25 on the first outing is not bad! What choke did you use?

You got the upscale version, you lucky duck. That's ok. I'm a happy woman.

I'd have to go dig out the gun to check for sure, but I think I had the cylinder choke on. They make a skeet choke, but it didn't come with the shotgun. Not that I'm complaining, since it comes with five, and my husband grumbled that he doesn't recall getting any with his Mossberg.

I really have to come up with a WHOPPING good anniversary present for HIM to match this! :D
